African Renaissance: January/February 2006 edition: Call for papers
African Renaissance, which recently merged with African Journal of Political and Social Research, is calling for contributions for the January/February 2006 edition of the journal. The lead theme will examine the impact of the “curse of Africa’s heritage” on the continent’s unity project, development aspirations and efforts.

Africa is the only continent being pulled in divergent directions by its heritage, with countries owing allegiance to competing blocks that are often antagonistic to one another – Anlgophone Africa, Francophone Africa, Lusophone Africa, Islamic Africa, Arab Africa,  Christian Africa, Diaspora Africa etc. How can Africa overcome this “curse” of history to build effective citizenship?

The maximum word length for contributions is 4,000. References should be kept to a maximum of 6, and put at the end of the paper. Please avoid the use of tables and graphs, if you can. Send  your contribution to:
editor@adonis-abbey.com  before the end of December 2005.  Contributions on other relevant topics are also welcome.
